SimpliTRACE is a comprehensive solution that brings together powerful, cutting‑edge tools. Designed to manage traceability data for livestock of regulated species in Québec, it includes the SimpliTRACE Web application, the SimpliTRACE Express software and the SimpliTRACE Mobile application. Featuring user‑friendly interfaces, these tools were developed to allow all producers and agricultural stakeholders in Québec’s bovine, ovine, and cervid sectors to access their online file and submit declarations electronically. In addition to reducing the risk of errors, this system eliminates paper use and helps producers save both time and money.

SimpliTRACE - Web application

Launched in 2016, the SimpliTRACE Web application is a free platform that is accessible online at all times. You therefore do not need to download it.

Featuring a user‑friendly and secure interface, the application was developed to allow all producers and agricultural stakeholders in Québec’s bovine, ovine, and cervid sectors to access their online file and submit declarations electronically.

SimpliTRACE Express

The SimpliTRACE Express software allows you to transfer identifier numbers captured using an electronic reading stick directly to your online SimpliTRACE account.

Easy to install, this software is designed to be used on a personal computer (PC). Once the stick is connected to the computer, the software retrieves the data stored on it and transfers it into SimpliTRACE. Available as a free download, SimpliTRACE Express is compatible with all reading sticks sold by Attestra.

Downloading and installing SimpliTRACE Express on your computer

To install the SimpliTRACE Express application, your computer must meet the technical requirements listed below:

  • Device type: Installation must be performed on a desktop computer. SimpliTRACE Express cannot be installed on a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet.
  • Operating system: Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10. SimpliTRACE Express was not developed for Apple’s iOS operating system.
  • Other technical requirement: Running the SimpliTRACE Express application requires Java. You can download the latest version of Java here: https://www.java.com/fr/download/.

SimpliTRACE Mobile

SimpliTRACE Mobile is an application available on iPhone and Android smartphones that allows Québec producers to submit their traceability declarations more easily.

Offered free of charge, this new tool was designed so that producers can access the complete list of identifiers associated with their file directly from their phone, thereby reducing the risk of transcription errors.

Users of the application must be able to transfer mobile data through their smartphone to download the app and submit declarations, or have access to a Wi‑Fi network.

Features

  • The mobile application allows users to complete all declarations in just a few steps, without needing to access a computer.
  • It is compatible with the identifier reading sticks available for purchase (note that the iOS version is compatible only with Allflex readers) and provides direct access to the inventory, regardless of the user’s location.
  • Data synchronization with a SimpliTRACE account is simple, thanks to a guided, clear, and fast declaration process.
  • All types of declarations are supported, including group declarations, ensuring flexible management adapted to real‑world needs.
  • A summary of declarations is available at a glance, helping users stay in control of all operations, from the field to their personal account.

Downloading and installing SimpliTRACE Mobile on your smartphone

To install SimpliTRACE Mobile, your smartphone must meet certain technical requirements:

  • Installation must be performed on an Android phone (version 4.4 or later) or an iPhone.
  • Downloading the application requires a Google Play or Apple Store account.
