SimpliTRACE is a high-performance, state-of-the-art system designed to manage Québec’s traceability data.
Equipped with a user-friendly and secure interface, Attestra’s SimpliTRACE app has been developed to allow all agricultural producers and stakeholders in the bovine, ovine, and cervid sectors in Québec to access their files online and file declarations electronically.

1. View your inventory of animals at any time
By accessing your Attestra file online, you can view your inventory of animals whenever you want. In your file, a complete inventory of your animals can be listed according to your production type. Furthermore, a list of animals present on each production site registered in your file is available at all times.
2. Produce and save your declarations with just a few clicks
With SimpliTRACE, it will be easy for you to send your declarations with the forms for your Attestra file online. When sending your declarations, the information will be registered in the Attestra database and will be saved simultaneously in your file. An electronic version of each declaration that has been sent will be stored in your file as well.
3. View the history as well as the status of your ear tag and accessory orders
When you make an ear tag or accessory order at Attestra, the details of the order are registered in SimpliTRACE. By accessing your online Attestra file, you can view the history or even see the status of your order whenever you want. It will therefore be possible for you to follow every step of the ordering process to see when it will be shipped to you.
4. Monitor your ear tag inventory
With SimpliTRACE, monitoring your inventory of ear tags has never been easier. Once your order has been sent to the dealer, the range of identification numbers that will be assigned to you will be posted in your file. This list will be updated each time you produce a declaration of an ear tag being attached to an animal.
5. Send and store quality traceability data
The SimpliTRACE application was designed to give you access to your Attestra file by connecting you to the Internet. By using your online Attestra file to produce your traceability declarations or to add information to your production activities, your data will be updated regularly. Updating your data is essential to ensuring the proper functioning of the Québec traceability system, and therefore preserving the reputation of the agricultural products that are associated with it.
Your Attestra file is available online at all times. It contains information about your animals, your declarations, your production sites, your vehicles used for animal transport, your orders for tags and accessories, and your production activities.
The menu bar in SimpliTRACE gives you access to several information directories and numerous data management functions. These menus make up the different sections of your Attestra file.
By accessing your file, you will be able to make your declarations using simplified forms. You will also be able to consult or update a variety of information.
In order to ensure the quality of information transmitted into the Attestra traceability system, data transmission rules have been put in place. These rules have an impact on certain disclosure requirements when collecting and transferring data.
These rules do not in any way alter the obligations of owners or keepers of animals as set out in the Regulation respecting the identification and traceability of certain animals.
Any information required under the Regulation respecting the identification and traceability of certain animals, transmitted electronically or by using SimpliTRACE, must comply with the data format required by the system.
If the data you transmit is incomplete or incorrect, this information will not be saved and a system error message will indicate the nature of the corrections you need to make.
